i nto a buttered pie dish .
Bake
in the oven for approximately

hour

350
deg.
Beat with a
fork

egg
whites,

cup sugar and

n
lemon juice
until
the
mixture
is fairly
thick,
spread this on
t
o
p
of
the
pie a nd
brown
i n
a
moderate
oven
for
about t
hour.

Place
all
the
ingredients
except butter
and
cream in the
Vi tamizer,
and blend
until
smooth. Then cook over
a
moderate heat stirring
constantly
until
the mixture thickens.
Be
careful
to
keep
stj rring
or
it may
burn . Remove
from
stove and
add
the 2
table­
spoons
of
butter. Cool
and

and
then
cover
with
the
cup
of
whipped
cream.

minutes,

then reduce the oven to about

for a
further 20
minutes .
This
pie
is best served cold.

stir in. Half
fill
pie
dish
with
hot
stewed

sponge
mixture
and
bake
in
moderate
oven
for
tw

t
y
minutes.
